unbelievable.
So my (now former) supervisor called me tonight after hours to tell me not to come in. I don’t mean a little bit after hours either. I mean over 2 hours after hours… from her personal cell phone… and left a message.
“If you want to discuss it, call me back during business hours tomorrow.”
Are you kidding?
I called her back tonight, and pretended like I did not get her voicemail.
“Oh. Well, you don’t have to come in tomorrow.” she said, in a sleepy voice.
“Do not come in tomorrow?”
“Do not come in tomorrow. Do you have anything personal left there?”
“Just a folder. It’s got work papers in it. And some food in the refrigerator.”
“I see. We will send your folder back to you. Have a good evening.”
What? I already quit. How can you fire someone who’s already quit?
I’m beginning to think that quitting was the best decision I’ve made in a while.
